There are two areas identified as high risk in terms of self-harm by ligature, mental health hospitals and prisons. To greatly reduce this risk we supply an anti-ligature magnetic suspension system that utilises load-release magnetic brackets. Kestrel anti ligature Magnetic suspension system is used in prisons and hospitals through out the UK.
This magnetic suspension system is used on 5 different product types: Blinds, Cubicle Tracking, Curtains, Hooks & Rails and other essential accessories such as soap dispensers.

We are trained and accredited distributers and installers of the patented Kestrel anti ligature magnetic suspension system, which is intended for usage with DEFIANT window blinds, Movatrack Cubicle Tracking, Vitesse Curtain Rails and a range of Kestrel branded interior fittings.
System Construction & Usage:
The Kestrel system is simple yet extremely effective. It works using a patented short range magnet system. When excessive load is place on the installed item, the magnet is over powered, so it releases its load. Unlike other anti-ligature systems, Kestrel does not require a professional installer to re-assemble. Once the reason for the release is identified you can simply replace the item onto the magnet and it will be suspended once again. There will be no decline in performance, breakage or wear.

Maintenance: The Kestrel system is maintenance free and its performance remains constant even after repeated use. It is however, advisable to carry a visual inspection of Kestrel fittings to identify any possible damage or evidence of tampering.
